CEEE Workshop on OBE at DY Patil, Pune

Centre for Excellence in Engineering Education (CEEE) was established in 2015 at BMS College of Engineering to promote quality in Engineering Education through effective implementation of Outcomes-Based Education (OBE). The primary aim of the CEEE is to promote OBE to bring in transformation in Engineering Education thus by supporting the nation’s mission in enhancing quality in engineering education (Washington Accord).

CEEE offers training programs in Outcomes-Based Education as applied to different engineering programs. The training includes sessions on effective implementation of OBE from different perspectives. These sessions focus on the similarities/differences between OBE implementation at affiliated & autonomous institutions and universities; specific responsibilities of institution level administrators; heads of individual programs and faculty through well-designed interactive sessions. CEEE workshops are jointly conducted by BMS College of Engineering, InPods and IUCEE (Indo-Universal Collaboration for Engineering Education).

CEEE conducted a two-day workshop on Outcomes Based Education (OBE) .The objective of the workshop was to offer a unique hands-on experience to benefit the engineering community on Accreditation and Outcome Based Education. DY Patil Institute of Engineering & Technology was the host college and the workshop was held on 9th and 10th January 2016.

The sessions were on Quality Assurance, Student Outcomes, Course Outcomes, Continuous Improvement Process and Use of Technology in OBE. The objective of each session was to help faculty members understand the finer aspects of designing, implementing and managing Outcomes-based education at any institute.

Distinguished presenters were faculty members from BMS College of Engineering, Bangalore.
